Broxbourne Rowing Club’s Community Cup

A new BRC Award, The Community Cup, has been sponsored by Cllr Mark Mills-Bishop who is a local County Councillor and Deputy Executive Member for Localism, who recognises the value of sport and how it improves the quality of people’s lives both physically and socially.

The Community Cup recognises an individual’s contribution to the Recreational Squad facilitating the participation of others including
• making people feel welcome
• encouraging new members to take up the sport at the end of the Learn to Row course
• Helping to organise outings and trips
• Supporting coaching, coxing, mentoring

In its first year, the deserving winner is Christopher Moody who, along with all the above, also organises and leads the Learn to Row course working with existing members as support.

Congratulations Mr M, very well deserved .
